Polyester cross-profile yarn is made by melting polyester pellets and extruding them through a spinneret with specialized-shaped openings. The modified spinning process alters the cross-sectional shape of the yarn, resulting in a non-circular shape that creates a larger surface area and tiny channels within the yarn structure.
